You may be on the right page.
If you have come to this page, you may be experiencing some of the following symptoms:
Excessive worry, rumination, or racing thoughts.
Clients often deal with the irritability, fatigue/sleep problems, or lack of appetite.
It is not unusual for a client to have panic attacks, fear, and uneasiness.
Because of past events, places, things, or people may be avoided.
If you are restless or have difficulty concentrating – or have tense muscles and feel agitated – these behaviors and emotions can indicate greater than-normal anxiety.
Anxiety can be tough to live with daily.
A little anxiety is normal and even helpful to energize and motivate us. Many people have said, “If you’re anxious or nervous about something, that is good because it means you care.”
But when anxiety increases too much, it can be crippling and cause us to isolate ourselves from the things and people we love and enjoy. It prevents us from being our best, enjoying life, and doing normal day-to-day activities. We can find ourselves feeling more overwhelmed, alone, and isolated. From mild worry and rumination to full-blown panic attacks, many forms of anxiety can interrupt our quality of life and ability to enjoy our lives.
You’ve found the social isolation and ease of having everything delivered to your house convenient, and now it has just become your way of life.
Answering the phone is not even in the cards with the unease it brings you. Don’t ask about going up for a promotion or leaving your horrible job because that means you’d have to put yourself in a new and unfamiliar area. Job interview – yeah, no way!
Life in the fast lane is challenging.
Living in California, anxiety can seem like a normal part of life. The early bird gets the worm. Hustle hard. Can’t stop, won’t stop.
Doesn’t everyone have anxiety? Is this normal anxiety, or is this more serious? Is there something wrong with me? Is life supposed to feel like this?
Sometimes, knowing when it has become “problem” anxiety can be challenging. These are the questions and thoughts many people wonder about, and that brings them to therapy.
Therapy is where you can face anxiety head-on.
In our first session, I will evaluate and help you understand how anxiety may affect your life.
I utilize a collaborative and active approach to help you understand your anxiety, identify what strengths you’re working with, what your triggers are, and how to cope using various tools and skills.
Whether it is more generalized anxiety or more severe panic attacks, we will work together on a concrete plan to help you learn how to manage, cope, and even master your anxiety and stress.
Together, we can help you overcome anxiety and allow you to turn to a different path, leading to a life free of anxiety.
